Aban Offshore emerges as top gainer on BSE Oil & Gas index

Aban Offshore has emerged as the top gainer on the BSE Oil & Gas index. The scrip is currently trading at Rs 1144.70 per share, up 40.55 points or 3.67% on BSE.

The stock opened at Rs 1124.75 as compared to its previous close of Rs 1104.15. Intraday, the counter touched a high and a low of Rs 1155 and Rs 1120, respectively.

So far, 4,01,392 shares of the company were traded on the BSE.

The stock touched its 52-week high of Rs 2505.50 on September 22, 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 224.10 on March 9, 2009.

The scrip has declined 4.22% since the past one week and but gained by 23.28% since the last one month.

The Oil & Gas index was trading at 9,401.56, up by 141.96 points or 1.53%. The index opened at 9,372.83 as compared to its previous close of 9,259.60. It has touched a high and a low of 9,461.97 and 9,372.83, respectively.

Other major gainers on the index were Cairn India up 3.01%, Essar Oil up 2.84%, ONGC up 1.93%, Reliance Industries up 1.52%, and GAIL up 0.70%.
