Aban Offshore emerges as top gainer on BSE Oil & Gas index

Aban Offshore has emerged as a top gainer on the BSE Oil & Gas index. The scrip is currently trading at Rs 1118.85 per share, up 58.65 points or 5.53% on BSE.

The stock opened at Rs 1060 as compared to its previous close of Rs 1060.20. Intraday, the counter touched a high and a low of Rs 1130 and Rs 1050.05, respectively.

So far, 9,14,736 shares of the company were traded on the BSE.

The stock touched its 52-week high of Rs 2560 on August 11, 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 224.10 on March 9, 2009.

The scrip has declined 3.39 % since the past one week and but gained by 65.30% since the last one month.

The Oil & Gas index was trading at 9,697.77, up by 180.33 points or 1.89 %. The index opened at 9,547.17 as compared to its previous close of 9,517.44. It has touched a high and a low of 9,732.49 and 9,474.42, respectively.

Other major gainers on the index were GAIL up 4.25%, Cairn India up 2.88%, Reliance Industries up 2.39%, HPCL up 1.03% and Indian Oil Corporation up 0.80%.
