Bajaj Auto, L&T, Cipla likely to see some action today

Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India (MHRIL), a part of the Mahindra Group, will list its equity shares on the BSE and NSE today.

Bajaj Holdings & Investment, Bajaj Auto, Exide Industries, ICI India, L&T, Novartis Ind, Opto Circuits, Polaris Lab, Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren, Zee Entertainment will announce their quarterly results today.

Cipla has announced its audited results for the financial year ended March 31, 2009. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 776.82 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009 against Rs 701.43 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008, up 10.74%. The total income has increased from Rs 4,271.13 crore to Rs 5,326.77 crore, registering 24.71% growth on Year-on-Year (YoY) basis.

Sterlite Industries, the metals and minerals major belonging to the UK-listed Vedanta Resources, is set to issue American Depository Receipts to mop up around $1.50 billion, according to the company’s filing with the BSE.

Reliance Industries (RIL) India’s largest private sector exploration and production (E&P) major is set sell auto fuels in the US from its Jamnagar refinery soon. The first cargo in two years to the US, which began its journey on June 28, is set to arrive in New York on July 18.
