CavinKare to venture into restaurant business

Fast Moving Consumer Goods major CavinKare is planning to venture into the restaurant business for an investment of Rs 1 crore, reports quoted.

The company plans to open its fast food joint in Puducherry, a union territory, and the location for it has almost been finalized. The proposed outlet is expected to start operations by June 2009.

CavinKare offers products in the personal care and skin care segments and had recently forayed into the packaged liquid milk segment. It had acquired a dairy plant in Kancheepuram district of Chennai.
