Colgate Palmolive announces 42.91% rise in NP for June’09 qtr

Colgate Palmolive India has reported a net profit after tax of Rs 102.78 crore for the June 2009 quarter as against Rs 71.92 crore for the June 2008 quarter, indicating a growth of 42.91%.
The company’s total revenue moved up 13.30% from Rs 435.99 crore for the June 2008 quarter to Rs 493.98 crore for the June 2009 quarter.
The company is engaged in manufacturing and distributing personal care products. The products include oral care and personal care. Oral care products include toothpastes, toothbrushes, toothpowders and whitening products, while personal care products include body wash, liquid hand wash, shave preps, skin care and hair care and dental care, consisting of sensitivity treatment solutions, gingivitis treatment solutions, tooth whitening solutions, fluoride therapy solutions and mouth ulcer treatment solutions.
