Ennore Coke increases capacity to 3.32 lakh tonne

Ennore Coke, a part of the Shriram group, has raised the capacity of its recently commissioned 1.3 lakh tonne unit at Haldia to 3.32 lakh tonne per annum by entering into a manufacturing deal with Orissa-based coke units.

This is in addition to the acquisition of Cuttack-based Wellman Coke India by its group company Ennore Power. This added 1 lakh tonne to Ennore Coke’s total production capacity.

The company had also taken up a contract manufacturing of Nilachal Carbo Metallics which increased the capacity by  60,000 tonne. Besides, it has also entered into an agreement with M V International.

Ennore Coke is also eyeing a 90% stake in Australia’s Broughton Coal Mine.
