Firstsource to provide KPO service to British Telecom

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Firstsource Solutions — Pipal Research — has won a three-year outsourcing contract from global leader British Telecom Global Services (BTGS) for Rs 63 crore. The deal could be extended to another six years, raising the value of the contract to Rs 126 crore, depending on Pipal’s performance.

As per the deal, Pipal Research is required to provide both KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcing) and MPO (Marketing Process Outsourcing) in market, segment, country and customer research, proposition support and other numerical-analysis work.

Firstsource currently provides KPO and MPO services to more than 30 global leaders including leading global firms in financial services, technology, telecom, investment banking, CPG (consumer packaged goods) and industrials.

With a further anticipated growth of outsourcing industry, majority of the Investment banks, brokerages as well as other large enterprises are increasingly adopting outsourcing strategies.
