Fortis Healthcare reports net loss during FY09

Fortis Healthcare has announced its audited results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2009.

The company has posted a net loss of Rs 0.79 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 against a net profit of Rs 9.60 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008. Total income has decreased from Rs 51.61 crore posted in the fourth quarter of 2007-08 to Rs 50.78 crore for the fourth quarter of 2008-09, down 1.60%.

For entire fiscal, the company has posted a net loss of Rs 7.15 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009 against a net profit of Rs 2.62 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008. Total income has increased from Rs 190.07 crore for FY08 to Rs 193.45 crore for FY09, registering a minor jump of 1.77%.
