Free cash withdrawal from any ATM from tomorrow

As per the RBI directives, bank customers need not shell out any extra money to use ATM of any bank from April 1, 2009.

Giving a new relief to the bank customers, the regulator bank has asked the banks not to charge any fee for cash withdrawals using ATM and debit cards issued by other banks from April 1 onwards.

However, banks are still free to charge an extra for services such as cash withdrawal with the use of credit cards and at ATMs located outside India.
