Govt to revive closed fertilizer units by 2011-12: Ram Vilas Paswan

Fertilizer minister Ram Vilas Paswan has informed Lok Sabha that the government would revive all ailing fertiliser units by 2011-12 either through the joint venture route or inducting a strategic partner.

The government has set up an Empowered Committee of Secretaries to deal various options for revival, including waiver of outstanding loans and interest, of each of the closed units of Hindustan Fertiliser Chemicals and Fertiliser Corporation of India, chemicals and fertiliser minister said.
