HCC bags project from Nuclear Power Corp worth Rs 888 crore

The leading infrastructure construction and development company, Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has been awarded Rs 888 crore project by Nuclear Power Corporation of India. The project is to be completed in 50 calendar months, while its total cost is Rs 887.92 crore.

The order is to carry out the civil works for the main plant of Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (RAPP) units 7 and 8 (2×700 MW) PWHR at Rawatbhata, Kota, Rajasthan. The scope of work in this current project awarded by NPCIL to HCC includes Excavation, consolidation grouting and construction of Nuclear building ,Control building , Station Auxiliary buildings, Ventilation Stack, Stack Monitoring Room, Heavy water upgrading Plant, Safety related pump house , fire water pump house, waste management facility, new fuel storage building ,emergency makeup water pool.

HCC’s capability in nuclear power build covers the entire spectrum from the engineering construction and procurement, structural work and heavy lifting, in the areas of nuclear island, TG Block and sea water intake. Some of the nuclear projects built by HCC are Narora Atomic Power Plant, which is also been awarded as the most outstanding concrete structure in India, kakrapar Atomic Power Plants Units I&II, BARC, DHRUV research reactor.
