HCC up on signing MoU with AMEC for nuclear plant related initiatives

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), India’s leading engineering construction company, has signed a MoU with the international engineering and project management company AMEC plc (AMEC) to jointly explore opportunities for consulting and EPC services for the establishment of nuclear power plants in India.
The scrip is currently trading at Rs 131.70, up by 1.15 points or 0.88% on the BSE.
The stock opened at Rs 131 as compared to its previous close of Rs 130.55. Intraday, the counter touched a high and a low of Rs 132 and Rs 128.80 respectively.
So far, 7,66,029 shares of the company were traded on the BSE.
The stock touched its 52-week high of Rs 136.70 on September 25, 2009 and a 52-week low of Rs 28.80 on March 12, 2009.
The scrip has gained by 1.62% since the past one week and by 18.92% since the last one month.
HCC, known for its civil engineering capabilities in nuclear power plants construction, has built over 50% of India’s installed nuclear capacity.
This tie-up will further strengthen HCC’s capabilities to execute services in the field of mechanical and electrical components of nuclear power plants by sourcing the latest prevailing global technologies through AMEC.
