HCL BPO, the business process outsourcing wing of HCL Technologies, is eyeing US, UK and Australia based BPO firms with revenues of up to $250 million.

The company had acquired two firms – UK-based Liberata Financial Services (LFS) and US-based Control Point Solutions –  last year.

HCL BPO aims to attain a revenue of $1 billion by 2010-11 and hopes that the acquired entities would contribute about 56% or $560 million to its revenues.

N Ranjit, CEO of HCL BPO, said that the company’s strategy is to buy loss-making or marginally profitable entities at low prices and turn them to profit making ones.
