ICSA enters the SCADA business in India

ICSA India, which provides embedded technology solutions and infra structure deployment services for the power sector, has entered the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) business in India.

The real time monitoring and control of the distribution systems through state-of-the art SCADA encompassing all network will help in reducing Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses and increase efficiency in the energy management.

The SCADA system will also help achieve load balancing and considerable improvement in voltage profiles. It would also facilitate proper handling of loads while load shedding and restoration, efficient planning of network for future growth by using proven power system planning tools.

The ministry of power has identified SCADA as a critical development that each utility has to undertake for strengthening the network and have better planning metrics for future growth.

ICSA India provides hardware and software to power firms and electricity boards to tackle AT&C losses.
