Indian Oil Corporation forays into wind power segment

The largest oil refining and marketing company of the country, Indian Oil Corporation has made an entry into wind power segment by starting its windfarm at Kandla in Gujrat for an investment of Rs 130 crore.

The windfarm has a power generation capacity of 21 mw which will be utilized to support its fuel storage and oil pipelines in Gujarat.

Suzlon has executed the contract of setting up of the windfarm and it will be responsible for the maintenance and operations of the same.
