Kingfisher to launch Kolkata-Dhaka daily flight from May 15

Vijay Mallya owned air carrier — Kingfisher Airlines — is set to launch its first flight to Dhaka from Kolkata on May 15, company officials announced.
This is the third overseas destination after London and Colombo for the private air carrier. It has the government’s permission to fly across 13 international routes including US, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The 60-seater ATR 72-500 will be deployed for the daily Kolkata-Dhaka flight.
The flight will take off from Kolkata at 2.45 pm (local time) and would arrive at Dhaka at 4.15 pm (local time). The return flight will leave from Dhaka at 5.00 pm and land at Kolkata airport at 5.30 pm.
