Nagarjuna Construction zooms on reporting stellar numbers for Q4

Nagarjuna Construction’s net profit has spiked up by 168.57% to Rs 102.62 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 38.21 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. The total Income has increased by 38.60% from Rs 1099.53 crore to Rs 1523.95 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010.

The scrip is currently trading at Rs. 160.90, up by 6.05 rupees or 3.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 154.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The stock opened at Rs. 164.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 174.00 and Rs. 160.05, respectively.

So far 105,152 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE ‘A’ group stock of face value of Rs. 2 each has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 195.00 on 30-Apr-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs. 113.50 on 13-Jul-2009.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 174.00 and Rs. 151.60, respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4,170.77 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 20.19% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.77% and 22.04%, respectively.

The company’s net profit has surged by 51.19% to Rs 232.61 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 153.86 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009. The total Income has increased by 15.09% from Rs 4155.57 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009 to Rs 4782.64 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010.

The group’s net profit has surged by 55.92% from Rs 282.74 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 181.34 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009.The total Income has increased by 23.16% from Rs 4802.30 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009 to Rs 5914.37 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010.

Nagarjuna Construction Company has recommended payment of Equity Dividend of Rs 1.30 per share i.e. at the rate of 65%.
