NIIT’s association with NMDC works on bourses too

NIIT is currently trading at Rs 23.25, up by 0.80 points or 3.56% from its previous closing of Rs 22.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened in red at Rs 22.15 and has touched a high of Rs 23.75 with a low of Rs 21.15. So far 6,44,198 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘B’ TECk sector stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 116.80 on June 16, 2008 and a 52 week low of Rs 14.30 on March 6, 2009.

The BSE TECk index is currently trading at 1,942.18, down by 2.69% from its previous closing.

The scrip price has witnessed upswings of 6.16% since last week and 57.63% since last month.

NIIT and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) have entered into an agreement to provide ICT Education in 29 Municipal Schools in the city.

As per the Initiative, NIIT will train the teachers, and offer computer aided education to 11,500 students from 29 municipal schools in the capital. The customized training program will be offered to students from classes 6th to 12th initially for a period of one year.

NIIT will set up computer labs furnished with hardware and connected accessories inside NDMC and Navyug Schools; and will offer training on Computer Science and Informatics Practices for +2 level students, and offer basic computer education programs for students of classes 6th to 10th.
