NIIT bags Rs 21.4 cr worth contract from Rajasthan government

NIIT has secured a contract worth Rs 21.4 crore from Rajasthan Council of Elementary Education for setting up computer labs in 1,672 government upper primary schools in 22 districts of the state.
As per the 5 year deal, NIIT is required to install more than 5,016 computers in the government upper primary schools. This is expected to benefit more than 8.36 lakh students.
The company had recently bagged a major IT contract for covering 2005 schools in Andhra Pradesh.
It had also won two orders from the Maharashtra and Bihar state governments to provide training in 900 schools for the next five years.
