Oil companies slash ATF rates

Public sector oil companies have slashed the jet fuel or aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices by an average of Rs 2,125 per kilo litre. The revised prices will become effective from March 1, 2009.

This is the eleventh time that the ATF prices have been reduced since September 1, 2008.

ATF prices have been reduced to Rs 27,106 per kilolitre from Rs 29,158 per kilolitre in Delhi.

Major oil companies like Indian Oil Corp, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum revise ATF prices on the 1st and 16th of every month based on the average international jet fuel rates in the preceding fortnight.
