Oracle Financial, PowerGrid likely to see some action today

Oracle Financial Services Software, a majority owned subsidiary of world’s largest business software company – Oracle Corporation – has unveiled Oracle Flexcube Universal Banking to help banks increase operational efficiency, enhance customer experience and reduce costs.
State-owned power generation and distribution company, Power Grid Corporation of India has secured its board’s nod for investment in a Joint Venture Company (JV) to be formed for establishment of Muzaffarpur-Sursand Section of 400 KV D/C Muzaffarpur-Dhalkebar Indo-Nepal Cross Border Transmission Line.
Adhunik Metaliks, having a presence in the domestic iron and steel sector, has drawn up an expansion plan that involves two group companies investing a total of Rs 3,350 crore over a period of two years.
Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) major Dabur India, which has a sizeable presence in the African continent, is setting up its second manufacturing facility in Egypt, seeing a huge marketing potential in the region. The company already has an existing unit in Egypt and another in Nigeria. The new unit in Egypt, which is likely to be completed in the current fiscal, would manufacture personal care products.
BEML, formerly Bharat Earth Movers, on Friday unveiled its first broad gauge (BG) metro train in Bangalore. The train consists of two driving trailer cars and two motor coaches with a capacity of 1,506 passengers.
