Orchid gets final nod for Zaleplon capsules from US drug regulator

Chennai-headquartered Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals has received final approval of the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) - Zaleplon Capsules, 5 mg and 10 mg.

Following this approval, the total ANDA approval count of the pharma major has increased to 37 against the total filings of 58.

Recently, Orchid Chemicals received the USFDA approvals for its ANDAs - Piperacillin and Tazobactam for injection.
