Patni Computers emerges top gainer on BSE IT index

Patni Computers has emerged as a top gainer on the BSE Information Technology (IT) index. The scrip is currently trading at Rs 407.05 per share, up 11.60 points or 2.93% on the BSE.

The stock opened at Rs 392.90 as compared to its previous close of Rs 395.45. By now, the counter has touched a high and a low of Rs 411 and Rs 392.90, respectively.

So far, 77,088 shares of the company were traded on the BSE.

The stock touched its 52-week high of Rs 463 on August 26, 2009 and a 52-week low of Rs 94 on March 2, 2009.

The stock has declined 3.51% since past one week, but gained 0.57% in the last one month.

The BSE IT index was down 28.23 points or 0.65% at 4,340.50. Other gainers on the index were HCL Technologies up 1.01% and Wipro up 0.73%.
