RCom zooms with the launch of wireless broadband service in Lucknow

Reliance Communications is currently trading at Rs 180.65, up by 6.05 points or 3.47 % from its previous closing of Rs 174.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened in the green Rs 175.15 and has touched a high of Rs 182.90 and a low of Rs 172.65. So far, 29,91,879 shares were traded on the BSE.

The BSE group ‘A’ TECk stock has touched a 52 week high of Rs 608.85 and a 52 week low of Rs 131.35.

Anil Ambani led Reliance Communications (RCom) has launched its CDMA wireless broadband service – Reliance Netconnect BroadBand Plus – in Lucknow in a move to boost the usage of internet.

The service was first launched in Mumbai a week back. The company hopes to cover 99% of the country’s internet population by making the service available in 35 cities covering 20,000 towns and 4.5 lakh villages including major roads and rail routes.

Netconnect Broadband Plus has a downlink speed of up to 3.1 Mbps and a separate uplink speed of up to 1.8 Mbps which is 30% higher than that offered by any other wireless broadband service.
