Sanofi-Aventis to acquire significant stake in Piramal Healthcare

Sanofi-Aventis, the French drug major is being termed as the front-runner to buy a significant stake in Piramal Healthcare. Though the report is yet to be confirmed, the French drug major is said to have completed the due diligence and the deal is likely to see a formal closure soon.

Piramal Healthcare, on its part, has denied of any such kind of deal terming the report as baseless.
