SEBI mulls OTC products to go through clearing houses

Capital market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) is mulling regulations to bring transactions of over-the-counter products through clearing entities.

Sebi maintains that bringing over-the-counter (OTC) products to the clearing houses will ensure timely settlement of the transactions. OTC products mainly comprise a majority of corporate bonds issued by private and public corporations.
