Tata Communications gains on F-Secure extending its online backup services

Tata Communications has announced that F-Secure Corporation, world’s leading provider of security as a service through ISPs and mobile operators, has extended its online backup services to the customers of the company.

The scrip is currently trading at Rs 480, up by 9.15 points or 1.94%on the BSE.

The stock opened at Rs 476.75 as compared to its previous close of Rs 470.85. Intraday, the counter touched a high and a low of Rs 481.40 and Rs 472 respectively.

So far, 65,880 shares of the company were traded on the BSE.

The stock touched its 52-week high of Rs 651 on May 19, 2009 and a 52-week low of Rs 320 on October 27, 2008.

The scrip has declined by 1.58% since the past one week and by 4.53% since the last one month.

The service will position the company as the first Indian Internet Service Provider (ISP) to offer online backup services to its customers.

The service will enable Tata Communications’ broadband customers avail unlimited backup capacity for their valuable contents without having to install any additional devices as it stores the files online in secure data centers.
