Tata Motors delivers first consignment of world’s cheapest car to Hyderabad

Automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has sent its first consignment of Nano to Hyderabad. Nano, world’s cheapest car, is being manufactured at its Pantnagar unit from were it was delivered to Hyderabad. A total 50 Nano cars have been sent through high-capacity BPU coaches to Sanatnagar railway station in Hyderabad.

Besides Nano, the company has also sent 34 Tata Magic vans. According to sources, railway has earned revenue of Rs 8,71,145 through loading of this consignment. Presently, the Nano is being produced at company’s Pantnagar facility along with Ace trucks

Although the mother plant of Nano has been set up at Sanand in Gujarat, the Nano is currently being manufactured at the Pantnagar facility, as facilities at Sanad are yet to be completed.
