Tata Power’s FY10 net down 2%

Tata Power Company has posted a net profit of Rs 947.65 crore for FY10 as compared to Rs 967.50 crore for FY09, down 2.05%. Total income for the fiscal slipped by 6.21% to Rs 7,379.85 crore from Rs 7,868.58 crore for the year ago period.

The company’s consolidated net profit for 2009-10 financial year rose by 56.30% to Rs 1,975.73 crore from Rs 1,264.04 crore for the 2008-09 financial year. Its total income for FY10 stood at Rs 19,574.72 crore, up 5.10% over Rs 18,625.26 crore for FY09.
