TCS Mexico operations not impacted by swine flu outbreak

TCS, the largest IT services exporter from India, has announced that its Mexicon operations are not being affected by the outbreak of swine flu in the country.
The company has large operations at Mexico and also runs a global delivery centre in Guadalajara, the second largest city in the country.
TCS has bench strength of 1,400 in Mexico, and no project is being haulted because of the outbreak, added by the management.
Guadalajara, which is famously known as the “Mexican Silicon Valley”, has presence of global technology majors like IBM, General Electronics, Intel, Hewlett Packard, Hitachi and Flextronics.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has termed swine flu as a ‘public health emergency of international concern’, which has affected countries like US, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand and Canada.
