Unitech Q1 NP tumbles 53%

Unitech has announced its unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2009.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 142.50 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 against net profit of Rs 301.31 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008, a plunge of 52.71%. Total Income for the quarter declined by 45.13% to Rs 425.03 crore from Rs 774.62 crore in the year ago period.

On a consolidated basis, the Group has posted a net profit of Rs 157.77 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 423.31 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008, fall by 62.73%. Total Income has decreased from Rs 1054.37 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 to Rs 548.22 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, a dip of 48%.
