Videocon rises 3.17% on the BSE

Videocon Industries has emerged as a top gainer on the BSE Consumer Durables (CD) index. The scrip is currently trading at Rs 175.60 per share, up 5.40 points or 3.17% on the BSE.
The stock opened at Rs 173.85 as compared to its previous close of Rs 170.20. Intraday, the counter touched a high and a low of Rs 176.60 and Rs 171.75, respectively.
So far, 1,36,879 shares of the company were traded on the BSE.
The stock touched its 52-week high of Rs 311.90 on August 7, 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 82 on March 12, 2009.
The stock has gained 7.47% since past one week and 4.87% since past one month.
The BSE CD index was trading at 3,001.97, up 54.12 points or 1.84%. Other major gainers on the index were Rajesh Export up 3.17%, Titan Inds up 2.45%, Gitanjali Gems up 1.41% and Blue Star up 0.06%.
